BIO

Finn Genockey is a jazz drummer, composer and bandleader based in London. Since starting drums at the age of 6, Finn has had plenty of experience performing regularly with some of the most notable jazz artists such as Rufus Reid and Stan Sulzmann at some of the country’s top jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Soho and Vortex as well as across the world in places such as Germany, France and the Caribbean. He also regularly writes music for the ensembles he runs: including The London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra which he founded for a debut performance as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival as well as his longstanding international quartet.

Tacet Trust, his debut album, was released on Fresh Sound New Talent in 2025. Featuring Josh Short, Rasmus Sørensen and Nico Klöffer, the music has been described by UK Jazz News as “a debut album that will surely be hailed as a classic and a milestone in the ongoing development of contemporary jazz.“ (Chris Welch, UK Jazz News)
