A recent graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Josh Short is a trumpet player and composer based in London. He previously studied at both Junior Royal Northern, and Royal Academy of Music where he has been exposed to a number of musical styles. His main influences include Nicholas Payton, Till Brönner and Roy Hargrove. As well as playing in combos and as a side-man for numerous bands around London, Josh enjoys writing and recording his own horn arrangements for various projects and sessions. Recent performances include Sultan Stevenson, London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra, Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Rick Astley, Macy Gray alongside appearances on West End Musicals.
Danish pianist Rasmus Sørensen has over the last few years garnered international renown for his innovative yet accessible sound both as a musician and composer. After spending five years in New York City eventually becoming one of the most in-demand jazz pianists there, he relocated to Copenhagen in 2023 and is now involved in numerous projects, first and foremost his own trio. During his stint in the US he released his debut album Traits in 2022 which was nominated for a Danish Music Award and also got to perform his music at world-famous jazz clubs such as Smalls, The Jazz Gallery, Café Bohemia, 55 Bar and Ornithology Jazz Club as well as recording another album with Blue Note drummer Kendrick Scott and bassist Alex Claffy, released on April Records March 15th 2024.
Nico Klöffer is a bass player living in Köln, Germany. Born and raised in Saarbrücken, he began his early musical education on the piano and took first steps on the upright bass in 2014.
From 2017-2023 he studied jazz/pop bass in Saarbrücken/Köln and has currently started his master‘s at HfMT Köln. From 2022-23 Nico had the opportunity to be part of the program Gutenberg Jazz Collective, where he worked and played with Kris Davis, Billy Hart, Ben Street, Becca Stevens, Ingrid Jensen. In August 2023 he was also part of the Elbphilharmonie Jazz Academy with coaches like Sullivan Fortner or Matt Wilson. Nico can be heard as a sideman in groups like Philip WeyandQuartet, Lorenz Hirsch Akimara, Silent Explosion Orchestra or rockband 4Fliegen.
Finn Genockey is a drummer / composer from London and graduate of the Guildhall School of Music. Since starting drums at the age of 6, Finn has had plenty of experience performing with some of the most notable jazz artists such as Rufus Reid and Stan Sulzmann at some of the country’s top jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Soho and Vortex as well as across the world in places such as Germany, France and the Caribbean. He also regularly writes music for the ensembles he runs: including his own 20-piece Jazz Orchestra, The London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra which he recently founded for a debut performance for EFG Jazz Festival 2023 as well as the international group: ‘Inc Quartet’.
Sean has worked extensively with producers Dave Eringa (Idlewild, Ash, Manic Street Preachers) and Paul Stacey (Minuteman, Oasis, Chris Robinson). He has produced and engineered work for US mixer Tim Palmer (U2, Moke) and also worked with Bob Clearmountain (Bob Dylan, Free, Big Country) and Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies, Feeder).
